Jubail: Mohammed Fathi
A visitor to the city of Jubail, one of the cities of the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, imagines from its first sight that he is in front of a painting done by a plastic artist. The city is a combination of stunning views of islands, beaches, parks which make you hold surprised eyebrows under the impact of a charming nature which awards its virgin beauty with generosity.
When (Jubail) is mentioned in a context of conversation .. both ,the speaker and the listener, hint for a moment dwelled by the captivating afterglow of that place .. Each of us has a special yearning for past days that take facets and variant forms or has a link with places, personalities and voices in the memory of the past days so a glow of nostalgia passes through the feelings sometimes followed by a sigh of sadness that bosom these memories .they can be with a family or friends , at home or in a quiet beach with waters that wash troubles of past years.
A city that plays the melody of beauty, every inch of its land brings you to amazement; its nature, modern architectural style, its streets or its resorts. All these details crown the city as the most glamorous city in the Arabian Gulf as well as the most beautiful city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Eyebrows of Amazement:
On a hot morning within that excessively hot mornings of Riyadh, I headed to that virgin city, traveling 490 km east, where this coastal city overlooking the eastern coast of the Arabian Gulf gallantly accentuates in the scene in front of you. It is still a major extension of Al- Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura and Al Ahsa. Cities compete with each other in beauty topping , but Jubail is distinguished from its counterpart cities by the amazing gallant prospect.
A city that places its attractions in front of you with generosity until you hold the eyebrows of surprise that fate has guided you to the (the paradise of God on earth), as its inhabitants name it, but you get convinced by the truthfulness of the name when you visit the islands (Jannah, Jareer, Karan, Heraikis, Al-Bataniya, Da’ina, Al-Huwailat, and Ras Abu Ali Island). It is that special pattern when the sun draws the last kiss of that city’s coast, marking the end of a tumultuous day when large groups of Jubail fans start roving . Another scene fascinates the complexity of eyebrows as you witness swarms of migratory birds such as flamingos, terns, cheek-white birds that make another painting in the sky of the coastal city.
What increases Jubail fascination is the glistening night… The night there is part of the melodiousness of a city that does not practice stagnancy. By night the sea forms a captivating phase of life where it discloses the fragrance of the fancies of shores. It dominates the time and place with beauties never exist but in legendry shores. This features by itself attracts increasing numbers of arrivals from the kingdom’s cities at nights; these are not the numbers of visitors from the Gulf cities who swarm the city’s hotels for all its elegant presence, from the fish market to the beach, some are busy grilling fish, while others wend to visit to these picturesque islands, and discover more of the landmarks of the city.
Many citizens and specialists affirm there that the Royal Society pays special attention to preserving that stunning nature and wildlife potentials in coordination with the National Commission for the Protection of Wildlife, as shown by the Eastern Chamber as well.
The people there are proud of their picturesque city, and any one of them constitutes a tour guide project who willingly guides the tourist through of the city, starting with its archaeological sites such as the Al-Tawya well on the western side of the city, which was the main source of water in many years ago, as shown by the young Mohammed Al-Anzi, the (30) years old youngman, noting that the secret to naming their city belongs to the mountain in the northeastern corner of that well, he said.
Al-Anzi explains to the newspaper (Afroshongir) that the city has become a destination for tourism lovers from various cities of the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf countries, and has reserved for itself an advanced seat in the list of tourist cities in the Kingdom, with its amazing urban style, its beaches, its lush gardens, and its islands, and what the industrial city also features from tourism, activities social, sports and cultural.
The visitor’s surprise towards Al-Jubail is complete by crowning the city’s tour, by visiting the industrial city of Jubail, which is 10 km north of Jubail.
