At a time when the Sudanese Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdouk, issued a decision to establish a gold exchange, and to consider the representation of the competent authorities in it and unify the price of gold with the international price, an official report showed that the production of the first quarter of traditional mining amounted to (4.394.679) (four tons and three hundred Forty-nine kilograms and six hundred and ninety-seven grams), and the performance report of the General Administration of Supervision and Control of Traditional Mining of the Mining Sector of the Ministry of Energy and Mining revealed that gold production in (14) states reached in January (1.495,602) while in February it reached (1.435283) And in the month of March it reached (1.463.796).
The report indicated that gold production in the state of the Nile River in the first quarter amounted to (2.602.203) kg while production in the Red Sea was (777.325) while the production of the northern state was (409.523), while production in the state of Gedaref reached (307,867) and reached in Kassala (70,049) Blue Nile (32,484) and Sennar produced (714), while North Kordofan State achieved production that reached (80,882), while production in South Kordofan State during the first quarter (61,555) and reached in West Kordofan (29,000) and South Darfur achieved production that reached (7,244) .
North Darfur produced (10.703). While production in West Darfur reached (4,500) and reached in Central Darfur (630) grams, at the same time, the report revealed that the sector achieved revenues amounting to (431,131,990) pounds, which exceeded linking the first and specified quarter with (332,973,694.11) with a rate of 129% .
