Istanbul: Mohammed fathi
Chasing his dream driven by his passion, he roamed different horizons of exploration . Well devised with knowledge to reach the result of fathoming many areas of exploration to transfer that abundant mass of knowledge from mere curiosity to the world of entrepreneurship. During that stage he practiced various categories of projects ranging from the commercial field to the field of services. At last he paved to the world of media production. It was a story of success worth telling to inspire the young people.
Sami Abayzeed Mesaik studied computer, but he was passionate about exploration and knowledge, the matter which caused him to learn a lot of things in only to content his curiosity. He says, “Later when I link things together I find that they form my current character. But mostly it is my specialty in the field of media, in particular, and business that mattered much because this was the most important things I have been working on in my previous stage of my tract in life. ”
So Mesaik moved between different commercial and some service projects, until the situation stabilized in media production, where he participated with active youth in the initiatives of “Zat, Sudan Is Beautiful, TEDx programs and Sudan debates. That was the beginning of the story of the 21-year-old young man with the world of digital marketing.
In the year 2014, when he graduated with a bachelor’s degree, he established the IDEX Creative Production Company as a company specialized in providing consulting and development services in the field of digital marketing, digital analysis and communication sites.
Mesaik says that his project is a creative production studio, which provides specialized marketing solutions, ranging from designing visual identities and producing visual and audible content, explaining that the word “IDEX” is an abbreviation for a big dream for an institution called “Ideal Implementation Services Corporation (IDEX)” which started in Sudan 5 years ago. Then he Moved to Turkey as a stepping stone towards global competitiveness. He indicates that since 2010 via his initiative , he accomplished more than 190 projects related to digital marketing in Sudan, and 25 projects in each of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Turkey. He states that the completed projects in digital marketing were about 40 projects.
Mesaik, who is considered by many to be one of the e-marketing experts in Sudan and interested in developing and upgrading the e-commerce market in Sudan, has contributed to other developing projects such as “Rain Gallery”, “Gift Shop” together with strategic partnerships with some entities such as “ Let Us Begin Business”. He is currently working with some investors in other activities Like tourism and others. He says that he overcame all the obstacles he faced by continuous learning; “I have overcome all obstacles in my career by learning from of my mistakes, because as soon as you stop keeping up, you retreat from your position in the sphere of competition.”
Mesaik answers our question about the volume of e-marketing projects in Sudan, and whether they helped in the growth of electronic commerce. He explained that the weak infrastructure and the sanctions imposed on Sudan formed a major obstacle in the growth of the e-marketing projects sector, which negatively affected electronic commerce . So, accordingly ,a number of competent authorities have satisfied themselves by offering marketing services on social media platforms only, while others have succeeded in providing services via designed electronic “applications”.
In light of the formation of the entrepreneurial sector in Sudan, and the hopes placed on the sector for achieving sustainable development, the movement remains the best that explains the reality of the promising sector in terms of what it finds from the competent authorities, and the extent of youth’s appetite for adopting the entrepreneurial experience. Here Mesaik comments” Entrepreneurship is not as easy as being displayed by films and success stories.
There are real great obstacles that are difficult to overcome except with the help of specialists. So here comes the necessity of having knowledge bodies and business incubators that provide logistical support for your project until it comes to reality.
This should be jointly related together with understanding the legal obstacles with ease access to financing to grant success. he confirms: “The demand to enter the entrepreneurial experience in Sudan is very high, but in great ignorance of the size of the obstacles facing the startups”.
Since innovation is the fuel of startups, we had to know about the size of innovative entrepreneurial projects from the number of startups in Sudan, and the extent of a stimulating environment for creativity and innovation. Mesaik sees that in spite that Sudan is a promising market but the size of entrepreneurial projects still represents 2% of the business market, “but Its rally is advancing even if slowly due to the collective mind that exists in the majority of our Sudanese society, but we can still create and advance every day in a new field. ”
Mesic believes that the weakness of the culture of self-employment among the Sudanese people towards the entrepreneurial movement hinders the entrepreneurial movement in Sudan, urging the government to start supporting the entrepreneurial movement in the states of Sudan, noting that the states, although they are the weight-centre of production, but the culture of entrepreneurial work is weak or totally absent.
Mesaik presented a leaflet of success to recent experience entrepreneurs, saying: “The capital is no account in the beginning. The pathway is long and very difficult to overreach and capable of consuming all your enthusiasm and energy. You must be prepared by high fitness and long breath. Finally, if your entrepreneurial project succeeds, you must not stop learning because in a moment the world can bypass you.
