Khartoum: Aida Gessees
I regretted a lot after I got acquainted with the arduous task he performed. In spite of that I insisted on making an interview with him. But it was the urgency through WhatsApp to respond and answer the questions that were assigned to me by the director of the site “afroshongir” Ustaz Muhammad Fathi some time ago, that he asked me to highlight the ” Kitchen of Charity Values” which drove me to be insistent.
Frankly, at that time, my daily program was packed with a number of duties and tasks that I was supposed to finish and hand over to the site . I admit that I did not see it as very important as we used to distrust such names which ennoble values and morality. Usually they act the other way .
But he ,the activist, whom I was reluctant to meet, returned to me through the answer machine apologizing that he was responding to me late due to his obligations to “the kitchen”. Then I was silent for a moment because I realized my mistake I accidentally committed, which was that I wanted to get information from him about the kitchen at a time when many children were waiting for him to come to them with something which would satiate their hunger .
Through his answers and the responses that he answered me, I felt that the young Muhammad Nimir and his companions loved their work, and what a work they love! They are all committing an exploit .. It was clear that they were happy with their performance of achieving these deeds of charity. In the intervals I stopped to listen , Nimir was really keen in his answers to provide me the information in accuracy to the point that I felt guilty that I was wasting his time and apologized to him for that . His response was that that day he had a break. He said that he had his done his task on going to the market to purchase the daily provisions, then giving a hand to the companions in the kitchen, and finally distributing meals in the kalakla neighborhood.
It was recently reported that a number of children dropped out of schools due to hunger and the lack of a meal in the school. This was sufficient to be the driving motivation for young people who read the news to lead an initiative that is the largest but most human in Sudan, and this is not new to the instinctively sympathetic Sudanese society. What happened during the sit-in during December revolution ensures this human social solidarity values practiced by the Sudanese people.
Charismatic Kitchen was born from that deeds.
Mohamed Nimir told (afroshongir) that the beginning of the project was since mid-2018, targeting schoolchildren from needy families and orphans . At the time 500 students were targeted daily and the number of beneficiaries was raised to 800 students per day and then reached 1,000 students per day. Noting that their goal is to provide breakfast for 2000 students per day.
Nimir emphasized that the kitchen or the initiatives of “We are all values” are one of the 4 initiatives that are affiliated with the “We are all values” organization, which is a voluntary youth organization for Sudanese youth and the Sudanese people, stressing that the supporter of the initiatives is the Sudanese people and the Sudanese street and our share is as Sudanese, and he continued, “No minister, no company no Others, “as he puts it, adding, only the bet of young people, especially through social networking sites (Facebook and WhatsApp).
Nimir affirmed that the biggest charitable event was in January 2020 through the kitchen of Charitable Values No. (2), which provides meals for schoolchildren (orphans – abstaining) to reduce the dropout rate within the two mentioned groups during day times and in the evenings , the kitchen provides meals for accompaniment In government hospitals , while also it is implemented in the city of Safwa, west of Omdurman, providing 1,200 meals per day to schoolchildren of orphans and the poor.
Nimir said after the emergence of the Corona pandemic in Sudan, the kitchen stopped for the safety of the volunteers in light of the comprehensive lockdown and they also target streets’ children of the to feed the street heroes and find integrated solutions for the addiction of the “Celcians”, revealing that that they present 4 thousand meals now and daily for the children of the streets. Admitting “However, the situation is proceeding well.. At last Nimir retold the Sudanese proverb “The one who sees is not like the one who gets the information by hearing” and so invited me to come and get informed through observation on the ground.
It worth stating that the kitchen launched a number of slogans, which includ (Your Hand is Glow With Us, We Love It, A Kitchen That Values Our Children WithL. Together, We Elevate Our Abstaining Society. Towards A homeland Without Hunger. Your Share Means a Meal That Feeds others).
Whereas, Charity Value Kitchen, Khartoum-15 Al-Amarat Street, south of Farouk Cemeteries, has taken its place as it is a middle location for supporters and volunteers, while there are volunteer vehicles moving for distribution, whatever the need site).
The initiative revealed a donation and support from women and girls from the Al-Ahsa and Al-Qasseem regions in the amount of 1,000 riyals, praising the Sudanese women and the kandakas for the praise of the volunteers of “The Charity Values Kitchen” as they soften the pain of the country and raise the badges of victory and thanks for all the initiatives that come to the kitchen and ensured that the meal is prepared and packed today
